Yashasvi Jaiswal Requests MCA To Take Him Back In Unexpected U-Turn: Report
Yashasvi Jaiswal, star India batter, reverses decision to join Goa and opts to continue playing for Mumbai, retracting his NOC from MCA.

In a sudden U-turn, star India batter Yashasvi Jaiswal has expressed his desire to continue playing for Mumbai, two months after he had obtained a No-Objection Certificate from the Mumbai Cricket Association to leave their organisation and join Goa, according to a report in The Indian Express.
Jaiswal has now written an email to MCA to withdraw his NOC and said that he is available to represent Mumbai for the next domestic season, which will start later this year.

According to earlier reports, MCA found it ‘surprising’ when Jaiswal wrote to them about the transfer, but issued an NOC soon.
“I, the undersigned, would request your goodself to consider my request in withdrawing my NOC given to me as I had some family plans in shifting to Goa, which for now has been curtailed," Jaiswal wrote in an email to MCA.
“So I sincerely request MCA to allow me to play for Mumbai this season! I have not submitted the NOC to BCCI nor to the Goa Cricket Association," Jaiswal added.
The Mumbai Cricket Association has not made any decision yet. It was the Goa Cricket Association which approached Jaiswal, who is counted among the best players in both international cricket as well as Indian Premier League, where he plays for the Rajasthan Royals.
At 23, it would have been a big step for Jaiswal to move to Goa since the team had just qualified for the knockouts.
If Jaiswal had gone ahead with his plan to represent Goa, he would have followed Arjun Tendulkar and Siddhesh Lad, this generation of Mumbai players who have represented Goa as well.
“Goa has thrown me a new opportunity and has offered me a leadership role. My first goal will be to do well for India, and whenever I’m not on national duty, I will be playing for Goa and try to make them go deep into the tournament," Jaiswal had told The Indian Express.
Jaiswal had moved from Suriyawan town in Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh to Mumbai at the age of 11 to pursue cricket.
