WWE WrestleMania 41 Day 1 Highlights: Paul Heyman Aligns With Seth Rollins To Beat CM Punk, Roman Reigns

An unexpected turn of allegiances as the Seth Rollins x Paul Heyman gets the win. Like before he once again attacks Reings to get the win.

Paul Heyman now points to Seth Rollins who is in a similar position to Reigns when the former had betrayed his former teammate but Paul Heyman betrays the OTC, low blows him and hands the chair to Seth Rollins instead. Rollins attacks Reigns and then delivers the curb-stomp to take the win.

Just when you think he made his choice, he then delivers a low-blow on Punk and hands Reigns the chair on CM Punk who unloads a barrage on attack.

CM Punk delivers the GTS on Seth Rollins but is then speared by Roman Reigns. Reigns is then curb stomped by Seth Rollins. Paul Heyman looks to take a chair and then seems to be lost for choice here. Both Punk and Reigns are asking for the chair and Heyman hands it to Punk here.

Roman Reigns now takes Punk back in the ring and locks in the standing guillotine lock here but Punk counters for the pin and then locks in the Anaconda Vice instead. Rollins then comes in and delivers the sharpshooter on CM Punk now but Reigns comes in and looks to choke out Rollins with the guillotine. Rollins counters with the suplex but Reigns has kept a tight hold. Punk comes in and stomps on Reigns and then delivers the GTS on Rollins but still we don’t have a winner.

Rollins seems to want to work together with Reigns here and the latter is conflicted. Team with Rollins or with Paul Heyman. He seems to have made his decision as he screams ‘Pick Him Up’. Rollins looks to line Punk up for the Shield Bomb but Reigns strikes back at his former tag partner and then delivers the powerbomb on Punk through the announcer’s table and then the same on Rollins. He then puts Rollins back in the ring and delivers the spear but he stills KICKS OUT!

Punk looks to deliver the GTS on Reigns but is unable to lift him up. Rollins steps in and delivers the pedigree on Punk instead.

Rollins goes for the reverse corkscrew from the top rope but misses. CM Punk lifts him up and delivers the GTS. Goes for the pin but he KICKS OUT AT 2.

Seth Rollins looks to go for the pedigree, but is countered. Roman Reigns goes for the spear, but Rollins turns it into a pedigree midway and then follows it up with the curb-stomp. He kicks Punk outside the ring and Rollins goes for the pin but Reigns kicks out at 2.

CM Punk gets the Anaconda Vice submission hold on lock but it is broken as Seth Rollins delivers the frog splash here. He then gains momentum here as he then powerbombs Roman Reigns to the corner.

Punk goes on the top rope to deliver a clothesline on Rollins, who was on top of Reigns. Roman then delivers the Superman Punch instead and gears up for the spear but Punk counters as the two go back and forth.

After countering Roman Reigns’ attempt at a Superman Punch, he then delivers the running knee over both men and then delivers the double DDT as well.

OTC gets back into the mix as he jumps over the barricade and lands on both Punk and Rollins. He then gets both men back in the ring. He then sets sights on the announcer’s table.

Reigns looked to clean up shop, but both Punk and Rollins countered to take the OTC down. The other two get on attacking each other and make their way outside, using random objects like the chair or the trash can to deliver some punishment.

Roman Reigns may have just sinked in the realisation that he does not have his wiseman by his side as he sets down the Ula Fala gently. CM Punk is enjoying the contest as he makes his way out to Paul Heyman for some wisdom. Rollins looked to approach Reigns to team up but gets attacked instead.

The band, Living Colour is out and is seen performing the ‘Cult of Personality’ theme song. Even Paul Heyman is seen enjoying the performance as well, even gives Punk a kiss on the head as well.

There is a video presentation being displayed, paying homage to CM Punk’s younger years. They even use his old theme song, ‘This Fire Burns’ by KillSwitch Engage.

Next up is the OTC Roman Reigns, who is seen wearing white arm gear as opposed to the usual red we have seen before. He remains as focused as ever and will he be able to get the job done?

After wearing an all-black outfit, the lights go out only for it to come back and reveal Seth Rollins wearing an angelic-white outfit now.

It’s the final match of the day and it’s the big main event. Seth Rollins makes his entrance with the flame thrower here. He is coming in for the big triple-threat match against Roman Reings and CM Punk

Stratton gets the whiplash onto the turnbuckle here and sets up for the moonsault here and connects to get the three count.

Charlotte Flair delivers the Natual Selection finisher from the top rope here and goes for the pin but the champion kicks out at 2.

Charlotte is now able to lock in the Figure 8 leg lock, but the champion is able to hit the injured knee here to counter. The champion counters with the moonsault, but Charlotte gets her knees up on time.

Charlotte looks to go for the moonsault but the champion attacks the knee here and goes for the knee breakther here as well. But the challenger counters and goes for the pin but for only a two-counter.

The champion is putting in some good fight here using the ring to her advantage, showcasing a variety of moves in hopes to get some early wickets,

The bell rings and its a vicious start for both women here. The champion is backed to a corner and Charlottle Flair hits the typical chops here.

The ring-annnouncer makes the introductions here and the crowds give a big response to the champion here.

Charlotte Flair arrives in style here with the full red carpet experience here and that too in a Rolls-Royce as well.

Tiffany Stratton makes her entrance in what is a Barbie doll box here as she makes her way onto the ring.

Next up we have some Women’s action here as Tiffany Stratton defends her WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair.

Just as when Fenix comes into the mix, Grande is able to retain control with a perfect anke lock but Grande goes big on the top rope after and the loaded mask gets the head butt for the win.

Rey Fenix after a barrage of moves delivers the Black Fenix Driver here. Goes for the pin but falls short. El Grande Americano gets the metal plate onto the helmet here and and just before the headbutt, Fenix counters.

Must be noted here Rey Mysterio is not competing due to an injury and Rey Fenix comes in his place. The high-flying action begins here and the two are seemingly mimicking each others moves.

There is an old vintage theme to El Grande Americano who makes is entrance here into the ring. An interesting take here who could reveal his identity today here.

Up next we have some lucha libre action as El Grande Americano takes on Rey Fenix

Jacob Fatu does not back down here as he gets the counter and lands to back-to-back moonsaults here to get the big win. His first singles title.

Jacob Fatu goes for the top-rope moonsault here but LA Knight makes a brilliant mid-air counter with the BFT here. Goes for the pin but narrowly missed out here.

Jacob Fatu looks like he has taken no damage here as he charges into the corner three times and then goes on the top rope for the Swanton Bomb. Goes for the pin but to no avail as the champion kicks out.

LA Knight goes onto the top-rope to deliver the elbow drop here. Goes for the pin but Fatu kicks out at 2. Fatu looks to copy LA Knights move on the top rope but the champion counters here but not for long as he does a belly-to-belly superplex here.
