John Cena creates history with 17th World Title as Dominik, Becky & Lyra shine on action-packed WrestleMania 41 Day 2.

Day 2 of WWE’s WrestleMania 41 saw history being written with the main event seeing John Cena claiming his record 17th World Title by beating Cody Rhodes. Several title changes also occurred, with the likes of Dominik Mysterio and the duo of Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria coming out with victories of their own. It was not an ideal turn of events for the likes of Damien Priest and Bron Breakker, who ended up losing their respective fixtures.

    The triple-threat clash between the champion, Iyo Sky and the likes of Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley proved to be a rather feisty matchup, with the trio delivering a fast-paced, entertaining match up to start things off. All three superstars had their moments in this match, but it took an opportune moonsault off the top rope from the champion onto Rhea Ripley to help her take the win.

    Sin City Street Fight: McIntyre Beats Damien Priest

    It was a brutal yet clinical performance by McIntyre, who was able to get the win over Damien Priest. Several weapons were being used, and Priest took a major punishment. Damien Priest had his moments but was unable to capitalise as McIntyre delivered a Claymore kick onto the corner where a steel chair was also set up to get the three count.

    Dominik Mysterio Beats Bron Breakker, Penta, Finn Balor To Win Intercontinental Championship

    Not many expected this outcome, but Dominik Mysterio managed to overcome the likes of Finn Balor, Bron Breakker and Penta to win the Intercontinental Championship. There were moments where the Judgement Day duo teamed up but Mysterio took his chances, and an unexpected frog splash on Balor sealed the win.

    Randy Orton Beats Joe Hendry

    It came as a massive surprise when Joe Hendy’s music hit and he responded to Randy Orton’s challenge on his 20th appearance at WrestleMania. But the result remained more or less the same, as an RKO from out of nowhere saw the Viper take the win with relative ease. After the match, Orton appeared to give Hendry his WrestleMania moment only for him to RKO Hendry once again.

    Logan Paul Beats AJ Styles

    Logan Paul showcased some fine athleticism, whilst AJ Styles showed that he still has the skills in the locker. But Logan’s manager, Jeff, looked to sneak in the brass knuckles, but Karrion Kross let that play out the window, but was eventually attacked by AJ Styles, and Logan Paul wasted no time to land the Paulverizer to take the win.

    Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria Beat Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodrigues To Win WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

    The crowd had a massive pop when Lyra Valkyria revealed Becky Lynch as her teammate, and the match ended up mostly as expected, with Becky Lynch dominating the fixture. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodrigues had their moments but Lyra even showcased her moves as well to play the supporting role as the duo managed to win the tag-team titles.

      John Cena Beats Cody Rhodes To Win WWE Undisputed Championship

      It was a simple entrance by John Cena. Indicative of the nature of the match, where both Cody Rhodes and Cena had. Cena, being the heel he is now, used the exposed turnbuckle and his partner, Travis Scott, to perfection. Cody Rhodes had his moment where he had the chance to attack Cena with the title, but failed to capitalise on the moment as Cena eventually took the win to cement himself as the most successful champion in the company’s history.
