'The Things Virat Bhaiya Explained...': Yash Dayal Reiterates Kohli's Support For Him
Yash Dayal credits Virat Kohli and RCB for his improved IPL performances, highlighting their support.

Star Royal Challengers Bengaluru pacer Yash Dayal has said that everything that Virat Kohli explained to him since being roped in by the franchise has stayed in his mind, crediting the team for their backing which he says helped him improve his performances in the Indian Premier League.
Dayal, who was playing for the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2023, was on the receiving end of an onslaught from Rinku Singh as the latter smacked him for five consecutive sixes to get his team home.

Since being bought by Bengaluru in the IPL 2024 auction, Dayal has become dangerous in the death overs, defending 15 runs against the Chennai Super Kings at the Chinnaswamy Stadium to get his team the victory.
“It’s a very big thing, I’ve said it before as well, the things Virat bhaiya explained to me still stay in my mind even now. And the kind of backing I received from the RCB management, the support they gave me, the results are clearly due to that," Dayal said while speaking at the pre-match press conference.
“So yes, I would say that the turnaround in my career has happened because of that to a large extent," Dayal added.
Bengaluru will take on the Lucknow Super Giants on Friday at the latter’s home, only if the tournament gets a green signal from the Indian government after the match between the Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was called off due to security concerns on Thursday.
Dayal said that his process before each match is to control his nerves and not worry about things that are not in his control.
“My process is that I try to control my nerves pre-match, and rather than worrying, I try not to think about the things that are not in my control. And the second thing is, after what happened in 2023, I try to pay as much attention to the process as possible and not on the batsman," Dayal said.
The Indian Premier League was brought to a screeching halt in Dharamsala on Thursday by air raid alerts in neighbouring cities, forcing the league’s administrators to pause.
