'Is Amitabh Bachchan Okay?' Decoding BigB's Puzzling Posts On 'X' That Have Raised Alarms

A quick glance at Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘X’ profile will give you a rough idea that something’s really up. The megastar of Bollywood who has cult-like following in the country thanks to his illustrious filmography that includes the likes of Deewar, Don, Agneepath, Kaala Patthar, Zanjeer, Satte Pe Saata, has gone really quiet on his favourite platform ‘X’. He’s still actively posting to his 49 million followers using his characteristic style that follows the sequential order “T-" but the words are missing. This has prompted speculations among fans who routinely gather under his “empty tweets" with words of concern.

So what exactly happened to our beloved BigB?

Pahalgam And Aftermath

BigB’s last post that carried any text barring the numbering “T" had a vague message. He wrote, “T 5355 – The silent X chromosome .. deciding the brain .." Incidentally, it came on the day the Pahalgam massacre took place. Terrorists linked to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) attacked a group of tourists in Baisaran valley in southern Kashmir’s Pahalgam, gunning down 26 and injuring many others. Although the star’s post came before the dastardly attack took place, the 82-year-old has decided to follow his own “silent" treatment.

His timeline is pretty much this (attached above screenshot) since April 23 and the ardent fans have grown mighty worried.

Fans Raise Questions

“Everyone giving a backlash to him simply for trying to represent his real mental state on twitter not for show but to be with others a community. What I understand is, the events have left him devastated, pain beyond words, rage and reaction, left entirely shattered, (sic)" a fan, responding to one of BigB’s post, wondered.

This is perhaps one of the rare responses to the veteran actor’s post that has sided with him and supported him amid his silent break. The overarching responses to BigB’s countless and textless posts over the past two weeks or so have made fans wonder how an influential figure with a voice as powerful as his hasn’t raised his voice against the deadly attack that claimed the lives of so many innocents.

Time To Go

A couple months ago or so, Bachchan posted on ‘X’, a message, that simply read “time to go". This sparked plenty of worry and speculations among his huge fan base. Was he going to retire? Is it the end of Kaun Banega Crorepati? Fortunately, someone sat in the audience during his quiz show brought it up directly to the actor and he responding by saying that it was time to go… to work. Very cheeky.

What Fans Miss

BigB isn’t particularly known for solving quadratic equations or talking astrophysics online. His online persona is an extension of a personal diary, a journal that he updates routinely. His posts are mostly about his stagnant follower count on social media and why ‘X’ doesn’t listen to his complaints. The rest of it is him sharing thoughts with his own portraits.
