ICAI CA May 2025 Exams For Inter, Final Courses Postponed Amid India-Pak Tensions
ICAI postponed CA exams from May 9-14, 2025, due to rising India-Pakistan tensions after Pakistan's attacks following India's Operation Sindoor.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the ongoing exam for the Chartered Accountants courses amid the soaring tensions between India and Pakistan. According to the official notice issued by the institute, the examination for ICAI CA Final, Inter and Post Qualification Course Examinations (INTT AT) scheduled to be held from May 9 to May 14 have been postponed.
“It is announced for general information that in view of the tense and security situation in the Country, the remaining papers of Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate and Post Qualification Course Examinations [International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT)] May 2025 from 9th May 2025 to 14th May 2025, stand postponed," read the official notice.

The CA Final Group I exams were held on May 2, 4, and 6, while the Group II exams were scheduled to take place on May 8, 10, and 13. Similarly, the ICAI CA Intermediate Group I exams were conducted between May 3 to May 7 however, the Group II exam which were scheduled to be held on May 9, 11, and 14, have been postponed.
Tensions have escalated between India and Pakistan after the latter launched intense shelling on May 7 and 8 targeting forward villages in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan Armed Forces also launched multiple attacks using drones and other munitions along the Western Border on the intervening night of May 8 and 9, 2025.
Pakistan’s unprovoked drone and missile attacks in parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan followed India’s strategic counterstrike, Operation Sindoor, that targeted nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 tourists.
