‘Forever In Their Debt’: Jasprit Bumrah Salutes Indian Armed Forces Amid Tensions
Jasprit Bumrah paid tribute to the Indian armed forces amidst rising India-Pakistan tensions.

Star Indian pacer, Jasprit Bumrah, has shared his tribute to the armed forces amidst the rising military tensions between India and Pakistan, which has also resulted in the indefinite suspension of the Indian Premier League.
Several sporting stars had shared posts on social media to express their support for the Indian military, and Bumrah is the latest among the senior members of the Indian cricket team to join the nationwide tribute for the armed forces.

Bumrah took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express his gratitude to the Indian armed forces. His post read," Grateful to our armed forces for their courage and bravery. We salute them and remain forever in their debt for everything that they do to keep us safe".

Earlier, the Indian ODI skipper, Rohit Sharma, had also taken to social media to salute India’s military forces for their service amidst the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan.
The tournament was put at risk after a power outage in Dharamsala saw the game between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals ended up being abandoned after a blackout was enforced in several districts in India including Pathankot, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Mohali in Punjab and Union Territory Chandigarh amid air raid alarms and reports of explosion-like sounds in Jammu.
The players of Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings are currently on their way to the national capital from Dharamsala by road.
On Friday, the IPL bandwagon was in Lucknow for the game between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, which now stands suspended.
The military confrontation had caused significant anxiety among the foreign players, according to league sources, and they will be flying back over the next few days. Sixty-two overseas players were signed up by the 10 franchises at the mega-auction last year.
Several IPL franchises also stood in solidarity with the decision to suspend the tournament amidst the current situation. But when the tournament will be restarted has yet to be seen.
