Amid the heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, even cricket in the subcontinent came to a standstill, as the Indian Premier League was met with an abrupt halt last night in Dharamshala.

Emergency protocols were activated all over, including Dharamshala, where the IPL 2025 match between PBKS and DC was suspended midway (10.2 overs into the match, to be precise), due to a reported blackout (following air raid alerts in neighbouring cities of Jammu and Pathankot).

Player (and spectator) safety has been prioritized, and the blackout last night has now cast a shadow over the proceedings of the remainder of the IPL 2025 season.
