Actor Avinash Mishra has lashed out at Indian actors for not taking a stand for their country and speaking up in support of Operation Sindoor. Recently, Avinash took to his Instagram stories and questioned the Indian “celebrities" for their silence. He mentioned that even though Pakistani actors are backing terrorism, Indian actors have remained mum.

“Celebrities from across the border – who built their fame on Indian audiences – now calling India’s action against terrorism ‘shameful’ & ‘cowardly’ is the height of hypocrisy," Avinash wrote and then added, “Where are our celebrities now? If you cannot speak up for your country just to protect your ‘brand’ or follower count, don’t ever pretend to represent India. Silence isn’t neutral. It’s cowardice."

This comes a day after the Ministry of Defence confirmed that the Indian Air Force had hit multiple terror infrastructure sites in PoK and Pakistan’s Bahawalpur region. The strikes, carried out from within Indian territory, were described as “measured and non-escalatory." Indian Army’s official handle also posted on social media, “Justice is served. Jai Hind," confirming the action.

Following this, several actors and filmmakers from the film industry also took to their respective social media handles to support the army and laud Operation Sindoor. Among others, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Preity Zinta, Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Raveena Tandon, Rohit Shetty and Milind Soman also expressed support for the operation.

Actress turned politician Kangana Ranaut also took to her X handle and wrote, “Operation Sindoor: Zero tolerance to terror. The Indian Armed Forces launched a precision mission, Operation Sindoor; 9 terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir neutralised."

However, a number of actors including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma, among others have not issued any statement as of now regarding Operation Sindoor.
